Vancouver business icon Peter Brown has earned a lot of honours. So when the Vancouver Police Department decided to recognize Brown for his work as chair of the charitable Vancouver Police Foundation, Chief Constable Jim Chu had a dilemma.
“Peter has done so much for the Vancouver police,” Chu recalled thinking. “What can we do for someone that has everything already? “The answer was to appoint him honorary chief,” said Chu.
